Spontaneous Chylous Ascites in Child

Abstract
A case of spontaneous chylous ascites of a 2 years old male is presented. He was admitted through the 0. P. D. of M-P department with chief complaints of abdominal and scrotal distension, anorexia and emaciation. X-ray (Fig. 3) showed marked abdominal distension with diffuse opacification of the abdomen and intraperitoneal fluid accumulation. Abdominal paracentesis was performed and the results were described on the Table 2 which revealed the characteristics of true chyle. During his admission of about 2 months period, repeated drainage with dietery therapy brought about a marked improvement of his conditions. Pathogenesis and review of literatures were briefly discussed.
